Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Residents of Tentultala in Howrah staged a massive protest demanding access to drinking water, expressing their frustration over prolonged water scarcity in the area. Locals lamented the extended duration of water unavailability, taking it to the streets.
According to residents, the scarcity of water has persisted for the past seven to eight months, leaving them with no choice but to protest. Women expressed their frustration by blocking the roads. Upon the arrival of the Lilua police, tensions soared, with protesters encircling the police.
However, cops somehow managed to diffuse the situation and cleared the road blockage.
